As part of the History of Education Society's mission of promoting the study of educational history, the organization has established affinity groups for scholars to find a community of like-minded scholars to provide support for their work.

This Popular Culture Affinity Group is a fellowship of scholars with an interest in the intersection of the history of education and popular culture, looking both at how popular culture educates and how educational institutions are depicted in popular culture texts.
